About
OUR BOARD MEMBERS
Our board members believe that there is an endless amount of talent that is underrepresented within the Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour community. We came together in pursuit of creating a platform for those under-appreciated filmmakers and media personalities, aiming to transform the portrayal of BIPOC individuals across the globe.
Our committee is run by film enthusiasts who are all committed to one vision. We bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from some of Canada’s best filmmakers, producers, directors, journalists and much more. Meet the individuals that make up our board! “

Lorna is a Londoner where she works as a Creative Producer and Video Editor. Lorna knew she was destined to work within the lens-based media when given a 35mm Praktica MTL3 camera. Her passion for photography neatly led into the world of filmmaking.
After graduating from the three-year Film, Photography and Video BA (Hons) Degree course at the University of Westminster, Lorna worked as a Clapper Loader for five years where she worked on numerous television commercials, short films, a couple of feature films and pop promos.
Having developed the desire to move into the realms of production as the industry moved into the digital age, Lorna thrived working initially as a Production Coordinator before working as a Television Research for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). After producing the BBC’s first internal film encouraging staff to volunteer some of their spare time within the local community. The success of this short film motivating people to share their skills led to Lorna producing similar films for BskyB, the City of London Corporation to Rothschilds Bank.
In 2014 Lorna Co-founded Colloquial Collective Ltd which makes socially inspired films highlighting the positive work people are doing within their communities. Lorna works with Glenn Mottershead who shoots and directs while Lorna produces and uses Adobe Premiere Pro to edit these bespoke films.
“I am absolutely thrilled and delighted to be invited to join the other jurors on the 2nd Annual BIPOC International Film Festival. This amazing opportunity will not only give me a chance to watch some amazing films from around the world, it will also allow me to learn and grow from the topics and people featured in each film – what else could be more inspiring?”.
